Where would you be without your fear?
Your fear knows you better than the devil does. It has a unique ability to tattoo you on the inside…

Where would you be without your fear? Our fears can make us social anthropologists—forcing us spend a lot of time studying groups and their behaviors for the sole purpose of defining….. We all get that pang when we want something. You may call it passion or drive but I think we’re really talking about a fire that is set by a far more powerful accelerant. That accelerant is *the little ache*. Newness. Walking into a cold room. Change. Proving yourself to new people. These things will never go away. How do you boost your self confidence in new situations when you may not know the lay of the land or the people that inhabit it? “Tell me what you want.” Life is a personal quest that can set you on the path to slay dragons and monsters, find your holy grail or discover a way to float in the goodness of everything that surrounds you. As I stand on the threshold of every new venture, especially one that makes me feels shaky, one that confirms all that I do not know, I think of walking on a frozen lake. When I think about fear…or it thinks about me and I respond…my mind goes immediately to this image of a blind many walking through a crowded airport alone with only his cane to guide him. |
