We don’t live in a world of mistakes even though we may feel like we’ve made plenty of them. Each thing we’ve done or left undone, right or wrong… There’s a soft center spot, a place where things have not fully come together, a sort of hazy Bermuda Triangle where change insists you shed something old and pick up something new. Our fears can make us social anthropologists—forcing us spend a lot of time studying groups and their behaviors for the sole purpose of defining….. I found this when I was going through some of my poetry and I thought we could kick it old school with a little Poetry Slam. Thoroughly uncomfortable to share so it must be the right thing to do. I wish I was kind—like Mary Poppins kind. I wish I said the right thing when people needed to hear it far more than I do. |
